Help Us

The KRFU presently has two full time development officers working in schools and orphanages in Bangalore. They are both Indian international players; Tarun Appanna and Puneeth Krishnamurthy. We also have a number of voluntary coaches working in orphanages for us. We receive some funding from the Indian Rugby Football Union (IRFU) and through fund raising events. You can view some of our work in our gallery.

However, to continue and hopefully expand our work we are reliant on donations from the general public. If you would like your donation to be spent on a particular area please indicate in the paypal message box.

Donations to us will pay for:

  • a children’s’ rugby ball ($6 US)
  • the train travel of one player to the All India National Finals ($20)
  • an Indian hand-made tackle bag for training ($40)
  • half a squad of shirts (10 shirts) for school children ($80)
  • a full-time youth coach for a month to work in local schools ($120)
  • a squad of rugby shirts (25 shirts) for school children ($200)
  • the travel of a squad of 20 players to the All India Nationals ($400)
  • a full-time youth coach for a year to work in local schools ($1400)
