The KRFU is a member of the IRFU and in turn the IRB. Bangalore RFC is currently the main team under the KRFUs jurisdiction. The KRFU recruited extensively in 2006 and formed four team adult competition, The BangaloreRUGBY.com League. The Refugees, a largely ex-pat team competed against the Bears, the Black Bucks an Indian Amy team made from servicemen from The MEG and CMP army camps.

future indian rugby team

Currently we employ two full-time Indian international players as our development officers - Tarun Appanna & Puneeth Krishnamurthy - to organise and coach in the local area. We also coordinate with a number of volunteers to assist in all aspects of our community work. In the months to come we will be looking to set up an exchange program to encourage players from outside of India to come and coach in Karnataka. If you are interested contact us here.
